The Osenase Orphanage Home
Pamela Lynn donates partial proceeds of all online sales directly to Osenase Orphanage Home for every "Rhythms
for Empowerment" CD sold.
The
Osenase Orphanage Home was founded by a Ghanaian church and
is run in partnership with an overseas non-governmental organization
(NGO). Osenase is a rural village located in the Eastern Region
of Ghana, where the majority of the population are farmers
living on as little as $1.00 USD a day.
There
are currently 33 orphans between the ages of 2 and 12 years
living at the home. Their accommodation is in two newly-built
houses, which currently have neither electricity nor running
water. In Ghana the sun sets at approximately 6 PM, leaving
its people in complete darkness for a few hours every evening.
The children take turns fetching drinking water in buckets
from a tank approximately 500 metres up the road. Malaria
and parasite infections are common. The children attend school
in a one-room church building. More
